Ada and I cruised on the Scarlet Lady last week. We didn’t know what to expect on this adult only cruise ship. We had been told it could be a little risque, and that is not us. So, we packed up and went to check it out for ourselves so we could have more knowledge and personal experience to be able to inform our clients. It was differnt from our expectations and we totally enjoyed it.
First of all the embarkation was organized and went very fast. We elected to carry on our luggage and went straight to our cabin. We had a balcony cabin and loved being able to sit and relax on the balcony. Each balcony comes with the famous red hammock which Ada loved to relax in.
The bathroom was typical size but did have a nice sized shower. The only problem with the room was the bed. We asked for the bed to be separated into twin beds and the side of one of the beds was up against the wall which was a little uncomfortable. It was still a nice room with a large tv on the wall. They did have a good selection of movies to watch.
Our cabin steward was really good. She would bring fresh ice and water for us every day and took care of all our requests. Note that the ships have cut back to having your room cleaned once a day. You can choose morning or night. We chose morning because we get up early and like a clean room to come back to rest.
